Melissa Colman
Melissa is a 350 hour trained Japanese Yoga (Therapy Yoga) Teacher, with many hours (1000s) of training and personal practice under her belt, including the revolutionary Ryoho Wellness. Beginning her conscious healing journey in her early 30s, Melissa discovered yoga and diet awareness and experienced a profound shift in her levels of well-being and love of life – emerging from two decades of depression this indeed felt like a miracle! Using yin-yang and oriental Five Element Medicine system principles, Melissa’s yoga classes take participants on the adventure of (re-)connection with themselves on as many levels as possible. (Some yoga class testimonials can be found here.)
Having also completed some basic shamanic/energetic healing and sacred intimacy studies, Melissa is a permanent student of how to live “well”. She is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the power that it holds as a guide towards our authenticity. It is a true honour for her to witness people stepping beyond their perceived limitations.
Melissa has been evolving her use of yoga, diet and the connection with natural world as “medicine” (ie. as the guide towards her personal truth) for the last 20 years and has been teaching/sharing her experience formally since 2012.
A member of Yoga Australia, Melissa lives in Mareeba and also holds a Diploma of Counselling.
